Bugatti Veyron vs McLaren F1 - Finally Head to Head on Top Gear

Top Gear would have to be one of my favourite TV shows to watch, even though I'm not really into cars. It's about time that they raced the Bugatti Veyron, the world's fastest production car with 1000HP, and the former title holder the McLaren F1 which is 1000 pounds lighter than the Bugatti.

The McLaren should be a shoe-in, as the power-to-weight ratio is better than that of the Veyron, but we will have to see when Top Gear's Richard Hammond races "The Stig" (swoon!) on a 1 mile stretch of road, to prove which car is the fastest in the world - Bugatti Veyron or McLaren F1.

race was kind of a transparent excuse for them to drive two really fast cars....

i love the stig, i think this is the real reason why i posted this..

i would of thought F1 had a chance!! it did in the beginning then it got the fatone at the end.. so i wonder who would win in a 1/4mile drag race?!

yep...I do think the f1 would win in a 1/4 mile race. The Bugatti is fatter.

straight line racing? nah. boring. if in dense traffic or curly mountains roads, as in movie chase - 911 gt3 would take them both. handling rules over the power in real life situations. damn, that bugatti looks good even inside.
